Northowram goes green and saves thousands.
Northowram in Yorkshire were looking for an alternative heating solution to their twenty year old 120kw gas boiler. They had a quote of £27,000 to repair it. Design engineer, James Haigh visited the premises and calculated that a new 60Kw Ariterm boiler could replace the gas boiler and save the centre over 50% on their annual fuel bill, and through the governments RHI, earn the centre an income in excess of £3000 a year. Within three months the boiler was installed and now the users of the hall can enjoy green heat and use the annual income to improve the facilities the centre...

Eleanor and Glyn bought The Barn in 2009. They wanted to develop a highly efficient, environmentally friendly home and started by adding solar panels and a solar thermal store. Seeking to reduce their bills still further they then added an Ariterm Biomatic wood pellet boiler. It was important to them that the boiler, flue and MAFA pellet store should be blended to match the house. So the boiler was put into a small outbuilding with the pellet store to its rear, encased in a wooden surround.
